THE ROAD PLAYS (“A Good Night,” “Spain,” and “Broken Strings”) are three thematically linked pieces about the joys, sorrows and dangers of life on the road.

The author Bob Lind states: “There are a few mad souls on this earth who thrive in the sometimes thrilling; sometimes heartbreaking; always risky realm of life on the move. Forsaking the warmth of the home fires, and the comforting nearness of the ones they love, they’re driven to bring what they have to strangers who wait for them in faraway corners of the globe.

These plays tell the stories of three such nomadic mortals who enjoy the gifts and pay the price of living in that impossibility.

Legendary singer/songwriter Bob Lind helped shape and define the 1960s Folk Rock movement. His lyrics have been taught in colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada, and translated into nine languages.

His songs, including the Top-5 hit “Elusive Butterfly,” have been covered by more than 200 major artists including Aretha Franklin, Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton, Cher, The Four Tops, Petula Clark, Richie Havens, Marianne Faithfull, Kingston Trio, Dolly Parton, Johnny Mathis and Nancy Sinatra.

In 2013, Bob joined a host of music legends, being inducted into THE COLORADO MUSIC HALL OF FAME with Judy Collins. He’s also an inductee in THE MARYLAND ENTERTAINMENT HALL OF FAME.

At age 81, Lind continues to write, record and perform on both sides of the Atlantic.

In addition to the accolades accorded to his music. Lind’s poetry and short stories have been published in respected literary publications.His poem, “Watching My Girlfriend and her Coworkers Bowling for Charity,” won a coveted spot in THE IODINE POETRY JOURNAL (15th Anniversary Edition). He wrote the critically acclaimed novel EAST OF THE HOLYLAND.

His plays have been produced throughout North America. THE ROAD PLAYS is the first production of his theatrical work outside the U.S.
