NEAT presents – WRITERS IN STUTTGART with New Texts; RISK
January 8 at 20:00 hrs at MERLIN
In the course of the last four years, it has become a NEAT tradition to present English language Poets, Playwrights, and Authors who reside and work in Stuttgart as part of the DARK MONDAY @ MERLIN series. We have hosted evenings with the Award Winning Poet Stephen Thomas, the Published Author and Poet Daniel Regelbrugge, the up and coming, highly popular Poet and Songwriter Archie Macjoyce, and on several occasions presented the newest works of Playwright Michael Hilton in Dramatic World Premiere Readings. We have also contracted an Original Story by Published Author Jadi Campbell for our performance of George Gershwin compositions called I LIKE A GERSWHIN TUNE, HOW ABOUT YOU.
At least once a year, NEAT welcomes the members of WRITERS IN STUTTGART to present their newest texts at MERLIN in the DARK MONDAY series. Many of these authors work closely with NEAT and have appeared as actors and musicians in several of our projects such as the plays SPRINGTIME IN THE FOG by Lisa Ritchie and LIGHT BELOW US by Michael Hilton, the Radio Drama SORRY, WRONG NUMBER by Lucille Fletcher, the Poetry Project SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY by Edgar Lee Masters and the Christmas Panto 2017 SLEEPING BEAUTY as well as performing in THE TOLLING THUNDER REVUE Bob Dylan Music Project!
NEAT is proud to, once again, host the WRITERS IN STUTTGART ; a group of authors, poets, and playwrights of different cultural backgrounds who live in the region and write in English. Their current project is entitled RISK. They will be accompanied by Guitarist and Composer Michael Hecht.
