The Dark Monday series opens the new year with the frightening radio play SORRY, WRONG NUMBER. New English American Theater (Neat) will present the 1940s classic by American playwright Lucille Fletcher at Merlin Kulturzentrum on January 4th, 8 PM.

When wires get crossed, a woman accidentally overhears the telephone conversation of two men plotting a murder. Suspense and terror mounts as the woman slowly realizes that the intended victim is herself.

Author Lucille Fletcher had an exceptional flair for writing terror for radio, and nothing demonstrated that more than this play.  The radio drama premiered in 1943 and became one of the most legendary radio plays of all time. Neat presents the radio play with live music and sound effects as originally intended.
